Clinical Support Specialist - Greater Portland Program

This position provides administrative support to Spurwink’s clinicians to meet DHS/DOE licensing requirements. ln this role, you must have computer literacy, strong organizational and communication skills, and be able to work in a professional team setting. Experience with child development and working with special populations with psychiatric disorders and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Maintain electronic medical record. Update continued stay reviews, behavior plans and individual service plans. Assist in all admission paperwork and processes. Participate in treatment team meetings and data collection. Write and/or provide documentation for quarterly reports, family visit forms and other documents as needed.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree is required.
Minimum Skills and Experience Requirements: Demonstrated computer literacy and strong organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of psychiatric disorders, developmental disabilities, and child development. Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of managed care systems, electronic medical record and licensing regulations and standards related to residential and day treatment services and related documentation, billing systems and procedures. Demonstrated knowledge of CARE, SCERTS, evidence based practices and treatment strategies and interventions practiced by clinical staff.
