Spurwink Services seeks a supervisor for the ShifaME program in Lewiston and Auburn. ShifaME is a community based initiative that serves immigrant, refugee and asylum seeking youth and families through the evidence based practice of Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for Refugees (TSTR).The supervisor in Lewiston/Auburn will provide clinical oversight to a team of Masters level Clinicians, Behavioral Health Home Children’s Care Coordinators and Cultural Brokers. This is an opportunity to learn an evidence based intervention that is specifically designed to address the core stressors of the refugee experience including acculturation, resettlement, isolation, and trauma. TSTR is a systems theory intervention where clinicians and cultural brokers work in partnership for service delivery. This dynamic position involves work in the office, schools, community, and in family homes. The supervisor will receive ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
The TSTR Supervisor will provide individual and group supervision the TSTR clinical team. The supervisor will support the team in learning this evidence based practice and be comfortable in coaching the team towards fidelity.
The Supervisor will support the team in meeting documentation requirements, including psychosocial assessments and treatment planning.
The Supervisor will work with the Project Director and Data Collection Specialist to gather data necessary measure the effectiveness of the service and make data informed improvements in service delivery.
The supervisor will carry a small caseload to support his/her own learning of TSTR enabling the supervisor to have working knowledge of the model.
Maine State License as an LCSW is required for this position and supervisory experience and experience working with multicultural populations is preferred.
