Description:

Spurwink Services is looking for a Human Resources Business Partner to be a fully integrated member of our agency programs. We are seeking an individual who has strong employee relations background and experience facilitating cross-agency consistency with HR practices. Duties:

1. Advises and consults with employees and supervisors in areas such as employee relations, coaching and performance management. 2. Ensures HR policies and procedures are communicated, adhered to and understood by all employees. 3.Formulates partnerships across the agency and delivers value added services to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization. 4. Identifies and recommends policy enhancements and changes as needed. Ensures legal and ethical compliance with state and federal laws. 5. Ensures consistent decision making occurs in employee relations and disciplinary actions. 6. Facilitates and delivers training programs as needed to support growth, retention, and attainment of personnel and operational goals. 7. Works closely with the leadership team with assigned program and the HR Team to develop strategic HR solutions to enable and drive business objectives. 8. Partners with the Recruiter to ensure that the recruiting strategies and processes are well understood and used effectively by hiring managers. 9. Helps facilitate the implementation of systems, programs, tools and processes designed to improve management and employee performance, productivity, engagement and business results. 10. Maintains awareness of emerging trends, concerns and HR related issues and brings this to the attention of the HR Director. 11. Develops tracking system for employee performance issues to ensure timely follow up.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field required; PHR or SPHR certification highly desirable. 3-5 years of experience partnering with business units and assisting with the resolution of employee relations and performance management issues required. Relevant experience in a non-profit a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient with MS office tools (Word, Excel), familiar with Access and proficient in the use of an HRIS system. Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results. Ability to collaborate with multiple business units in multiple locations. Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities. Ability to be flexible and available and to interact with employees at all levels in an organization. Ability to be self directed and motivated. Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate needs and make recommendations for implementation. Ability to serve as a positive change agent and influence at all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
