Spurwink seeks a highly collaborative, creative and flexible clinician to join our ShifaME program. This is a program that serves refugee and immigrant children and families impacted by traumatic stress. This is a team based model in which clinicians and Cultural Brokers work together in mental health service delivery. We are seeking social workers who enjoy a combination of school based/outpatient and home based work. The ideal candidate is a person who is curious about other cultures and willing to learn.
The ShifaME clinician will provide a combination of school based, home based and community based services to refugee children and their families. Clinicians receive individual and group supervision as well as training and consultation in Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for Refugees. Clinicians are responsible for documenting clinical work in Spurwink's electronic health record.
Clinicians must be licensed in the state of Maine or eligible for licensure as an LMSWcc, LCSW, LCPCc, or LCPC.
