Family Support Partner - Cumberland County $500 sign on bonus!!

Spurwink Services is looking for a family-focused and advocacy-oriented individual to join our Children's Behavioral Health Home team in Cumberland County as a Family Support Partner. We are seeking an individual who has provided care to a child or adolescent family member who is receiving or has received services and supports related to their diagnosis of a mental illness or developmental disability. The Family Support Partner must be willing to self-identify on this basis with Behavioral Health Home members.
This position includes a $500 Sign On Bonus.
Many positions include sign on bonuses that are available to full-time newly hired staff. The first half of the sign on bonus ($250) will be paid after 90 days of full-time employment and the second half of the sign on bonus ($250) will be paid after six months of full time employment. If a new hire changes status to either part-time or per diem status during any of that timeframe, they will forfeit the sign on bonus that is yet to be paid.
The Family Support Partner will provide individual support and encouragement to parents and guardians whose children are involved with Spurwink's Children's Behavioral Health Home Program. This person will assist families within Team Meetings, including preparation for meetings, attending meetings with the guardian, and debriefing/follow up after the meetings. This person will share personal experiences as appropriate and model strengths based interactions. He or she will ensure that clients and families are aware of all community services and resources, and assist families in accessing resources. He or she will support children, youth, and families to develop natural and community supports. The Family Support Partner will serve as a "values speaker" within agencies and organizations to help all individuals view services through a family's perspective. The Family Support Partner will be required to have excellent communication/engagement skills with families and colleagues. Use of own car (with mileage reimbursement) is necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent.
