School Based Clinician - Trauma Systems Therapy for Refugees ShifaME Biddeford

Spurwink Services seeks a creative and flexible clinician to provide Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for Refugees (TSTR) in Maine.
This is a unique and holistic clinical model as TSTR clinical intervention is provided in partnership with Cultural Brokers.
Our ShifaME team provides case management and counseling to refugee youth and families. There must be an interest in improving the lives of refugee children and their families impacted by trauma and stress in resettlement.
The clinician in this program will be part of a small dedicated team that works in Biddeford. This is an exciting opportunity for a new graduate or an experienced clinician with an interest in serving the new Mainer community. Comfort and flexibility to move between home based family treatment in the refugee community and school based work with youth and families is essential.
This position will begin in August of 2018.
The TSTR clinician will provide home based TSTR and office based therapy to refugee families and their children. Clinician will see client's for 4 hours per day within an 8 hour day.
The TSTR clinician will co-lead skill based groups with cultural brokers in the public schools based on a curriculum developed by Boston Children's Hospital Refugee Trauma and Resilience Center.
The TSTR clinician will participate in individual and group supervisions as well as
training and consultation provided by the Refugee Trauma and Resilience Center.
The TSTR clinician will maintain client records and documentation required by Spurwink and mandated licensing standards.
Maine State License as a LMSW-cc, LCSW, LCPC-c, or LCPC is required for this position.
