Traveling Direct Care Worker for Children’s Programs - $1,000 Sign-On Bonus (PT)

The Special Assignment Worker (SAW) travels between Spurwink’s four Children’s residences including Portland, Auburn, Chelsea and Cornville. The SAW worker is responsible for supporting clients according to their clinical plans. This includes supporting children in aspects of daily living, community integration, personal care as needed and other life skills.
This is a part-time position
This position includes a $1,000 sign on bonus!!
Many positions include sign on bonuses that are available to full-time newly hired staff. The first half of the sign on bonus ($500) will be paid after 90 days of full-time employment and the second half of the sign on bonus ($500) will be paid after six months of full time employment. If a new hire changes status to either part-time or per diem status during any of that timeframe, they will forfeit the sign on bonus that is yet to be paid.
Develop relationships with clients who have emotional and behavioral disorders. Maintain safe and therapeutic environment and routines. Plan and lead group and individual activities aimed at helping clients achieve skills, creating opportunities for clients to succeed. Perform behavior management, therapeutic duties and crisis intervention, including restraints. Participate in reflective practice and supervision. Contribute to the management of the residence.
High school diploma or G.E.D required.
Experience in Residential Treatment Services preferred.
Valid Driver’s License with a willingness to travel between Portland, Auburn, Chelsea and Cornville as needed.
