Therapeutic Preschool Clinician- Saco

The Spurwink Therapeutic Preschool Program is seeking a Master’s level clinician for our special purpose program for children ages 3-5 with development, social, and emotional-regulation challenges. The preschool clinician works in will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team and work within a relationship-based environment to provide a wide range of services to children and their families, including individual and family counseling, classroom support, and the carryover of social and emotional regulation strategies across environments. The preschool is a fun and nurturing, fast-paced environment that works on helping children develop the necessary skills to become resilient in facing life’s challenges. This position requires strong communication skills, organization skills, and the ability to be flexible in meeting the changing needs of the children and families.
Proving individual therapy to children (in the playroom or classroom); Collaboration with families including family therapy in the home and school settings; Working closely with preschool staff (providing clinical supervision, helping teachers to understand the impact of trauma on families, and over-seeing the children's behavioral and clinical treatment within the classroom); Completing necessary documentation including intake paperwork, psychosocial assessments, APS authorizations and reviews, SB-BHP supervision, service plans, progress notes, and progress reports.
Minimum education requirements: Master's level Social Work degree from an accredited school. Maine State License of at least LMSW level. This is dependent on the requirements of the specific position.
Minimum experience requirements: Direct experience in providing social work services and appropriate licensure shall be required
